Know which learning style works best for you, and utilize multiple learning styles for best results.
Everyone has different methods under which they learn best. As a student, it’s your responsibility to identify and apply the methods that work best for you. As an instructor, it’s your responsibility to understand that students learn differently, and tailor your instruction so each student gets maximal benefit.
Although not exhaustive, below are a list of common learning styles:
- Visual: You learn by watching and observing.
- Audial: You learn by hearing and listening.
- Kinetic: You learn by moving and doing.
- Deductive: You learn by thinking things through.
You’ll probably get the best results by using a combination of learning styles.
